This page explains what the public 4word website stores in your browser. It is intentionally short because the site currently uses no advertising, analytics, or cross-site tracking tools.
In plain language
The public site saves accessibility preferences and this notice’s acknowledgement in local storage on your device. It does not currently ask you to consent to optional tracking because no optional tracking is active.
What we do store
The site stores in your browser (in local storage, not in server-sent cookies) only two kinds of information: the accessibility preferences you chose in the accessibility tool (such as contrast or text size), and a flag that you dismissed the storage notice - so we do not show it again. This information stays on your device and is not sent to us.
What we do not do
The site has no advertising cookies, no social-network pixels, no commercial analytics, no cross-site tracking and no profiling. If we ever add a measurement tool, we will update this policy in advance and, where required by law, ask for consent.
Essential infrastructure cookies
The hosting environment may use essential technical controls for security, routing, and load balancing. These are operational rather than marketing tools. We will update this page if the deployed infrastructure changes what is stored in your browser.
Connected systems
The business dashboard (on a separate address) uses an essential sign-in cookie to keep you logged in to your account - an operational cookie only, with no tracking. Full details about data processing in the services themselves are in the privacy policy.
How to control it
You can delete the stored information through your browser settings (clear site data) at any time. Deleting will reset your accessibility preferences and show the first-visit notice again. Blocking local storage may only affect the accessibility tool - the rest of the site keeps working.
